Bombers Fastpitch would like to announce addition of a 14u team in DFW.
Head Coach Jason Drenning will be launching a DFW Bombers 14u team this week and begin competing in the Spring of 2019. Jason has several years experience coaching both softball and baseball at a high level and will be looking to add a few players to a core group that has been competing together since 10u.
Jason played Division I college baseball at West Virginia and George Washington in the mid-late 90s, and played in the College World Series Regionals for WVU (Miami, FL, 1994) and GW (Nashville, TN, 1998) . At GW he won the Warren Fulton award for leadership and was team captain as a Senior. His coaching style has evolved since his playing days, but one thing has remained constant: He believes athletics is the best avenue for young people to grow as leaders, and to learn important life lessons in working with others, overcoming challenges, and learning to win and lose with class. His approach with this team will focus on player development, improving game IQ, and teaching leadership principles. Players will experience a collegiate-style approach to practices, with attention to detail on hitting, defense, and overall game awareness. Player/coach interaction will include constant communication/feedback, and clear individual and team expectations shared regularly. The Bombers organization player development staff will give full support to Jason on training and analytics and the players will benefit from the programs recruiting system that has committed nearly 500 players to over 175 different colleges.
The team's Spring/Summer will include:
USA Elite Select Qualifiers
5 Tool Events
ASA/USA Softball Qualifier
