Autism Awareness Event

April 10, 2018

This month is Autism Awareness month and one of our own Bombers teams went above and beyond to bring awareness. There was a special event for Autism Awareness at the April Fools NIT in Cypress, Texas. The HTX Bombers 10U Melton team honored Jaxson Waterloo who is the older brother of one of the players, Miranda Waterloo, and son of Mike and Amanda Waterloo. Jaxson during the games at the April Fools NIT in Cypress served as their Honorary Team Captain. During his time as Team Captain he won every coin flip, he threw out the first pitch with a familiar catcher behind the plate, his sister Miranda Waterloo. After enduring cold weather and no warmup he pitched a perfect pitch using a full softball wind up! What an inspiring day to be a apart of and speading the word about Autism Awareness. Thank you to the HTX Bombers 10U Melton team for raising awareness and making the game of softball much bigger than wins and losses.
