Bombers Fastpitch Welcomes Rone Robinson As New North Texas Director!
New Braunfels, TX, August 17, 2020
Bombers Fastpitch is excited to announce Rone Robinson as our new North Texas Director. Rone will oversee team and player development in the North Texas Region with the help of Assistant Director Max Ellyson who will also be coaching an 18u Gold team.
Rone comes to the Bombers with 12 years of experience coaching high-level softball. Rone served as an Associate Head Coach and Assistant Coach at the collegiate level with The University of North TX, UT Arlington, and UT Dallas. During his time he coached many players to All-Conference, All-Region, and Academic honors. After leaving the college ranks he was the player development director and head coach at American Freedom, where he lead multiple teams to National Tournaments across the country. Coach Robinson is the owner of Total Effort Sports and provides hitting and dynamic field instruction throughout the United States. He comes with a deep understanding of the recruiting process and has extensive college contacts.
Max Ellyson brings over 20 years of coaching experience with teams from 10u to 18u. He has constantly led teams to play at the highest level in National events. Max has a deep understanding of the recruiting process and has helped develop some of the top players in the DFW market, including National Gatorade Player of the Year and UCLA pitcher Paige McDuffee, who played for Max for 6 years of travel ball and is now the pitching coach at Texas State University. For the last 8 years, Max has been a highly sought-after hitting instructor in the North TX area. Max will also be the head coach of the Texas Bombers NTX 18u Gold team and will be assisted by collegiate players, Pate Cathey who plays Shortstop for UTEP, and Reagan Hukill who plays Centerfield for UTA.
